Man arrested for break and enter, weapons and drugs.
On Monday June 4th, 2018 at approximately 3:00pm a man went to a residence located in the 1800 block of 4th Avenue East, in Owen Sound.
The accused knocked on the door and when it was answered by the victim, it is alleged that the accused forcefully entered the apartment.
A verbal argument ensued between the accused and victim. Eventually the altercation turned physical, at which time the accused kicked the victim and assaulted him when he fell to the floor.
The accused allegedly grabbed cash, held a knife to the victim's throat and then assaulted another resident. The accused fled with the money.
On June 5th, 2018 Police located the accused in a downtown parking lot, where he was taken into custody.
Police seized a folding knife and heroin from the accused, having an estimated value of $40.00. Further search revealed approximately 1.75g of Fentanyl, with a street value of $650.00 Police also located a non labelled pill bottle containing two blue 50 mg. tablets of codeine. He will be charged with:
1. Break and Enter and Commit Indictable Offence
2. Assault
3. Assault with Weapon
4. Robbery with Offensive Weapon
5. Assault
6. Possession of Heroin
7. Possession of Fentanyl
8. Possession of Codeine
9. Possession of Proceeds of Crime
The 25 year old Owen Sound man will appear in court on Wednesday June 6, 2018.
