Owen Sound Police seize over $30,000 in crystal meth.

The Owen Sound Police Service continues its commitment to community safety and drug enforcement.

On July 5th, 2018 the Owen Sound Police Service Drug Unit and Criminal Investigations Branch concluded an investigation into a suspected drug trafficker. Just before 4:30pm Detectives assisted by Uniform Officers conducted a stop of a vehicle in the 1000 block of 3rd Avenue East. The suspect, a passenger in the vehicle was arrested. A female was also taken into custody.

Police seized over 330 grams of crystal meth, valued at over $30,000. Police also seized $725 in cash and a small quantity of other drugs.

52 year old Michael William Wallace of no fixed address has been charged with;

* Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking

* Possession of proceeds of crime

* Possession of oxycodone

* Possession of ecstasy

Wallace appeared in court today in Owen Sound for a bail hearing. The female was released without charges.
