OS-Police-cuffsOn August 7th, 2018 at 8 am, Owen Sound Police Service was contacted by a business located in the 300 block of 8th Street East advising of a break and enter. The victim told police that they believed that the business had been entered sometime over the weekend and that several computers and other items had been stolen. Members of the Criminal Investigation Branch and Intelligence unit reviewed the buildings surveillance video and were able to identify the male party responsible.

The male party was located early this afternoon in the 200 block of 11th Street East and taken into custody by detectives with the asistance of uniform members.

A 39 year old Wiarton man will appear in court next month to answer to the charges of break and enter with intent, break and enter commit (theft over $5000), mischief, possession of property obtained by crime (over $5000), possession of break in instruments and possession of a prohibited weapon.
