Grey County Ontario Provincial Police and Grey County OPP Crime Unit have made an arrest after investigating a series of thefts which occurred in the Township of Georgian Bluffs, Town of South Bruce Peninsula and the City of Owen Sound.

On July 30, 2018 OPP officers were dispatched to Township of Georgian Bluffs for a break and enter into a residence where female's undergarments were the only items stolen. During the investigation that followed, the Grey County OPP Crime Unit discovered that similar break-ins and thefts had occurred in the above noted areas for approximately the past two years, but not all had been reported to police.

As a result of the investigation, on September 18, 2018, Grey County OPP arrested and charged a 13-year-old male with 13 criminal charges. 8 counts of theft under $5000 section 334(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada (CC), 3 counts of break and enter dwelling house to commit indictable offence section 348(1)(b) CC, possession property obtained by crime under $5,000 section 354(1)(a) CC and mischief under $ 5,000 section 430(4) CC.
