On Friday morning at approximately 11:50 a.m. a south bound vehicle on 9th Avenue East struck a 2017 black Ford utility vehicle at the intersection of 9th Avenue and 19th Street East. After the collision the male driver then fled in his vehicle north bound on 9th Avenue East.

The vehicle is described as a gray coloured van with considerable damage to the driver’s side of the vehicle.

Police later responded to the area of the 1600 block of 28th Avenue East with regards to a similar type vehicle that was reported to be in the ditch. Prior to officer’s arrival the driver managed to get the vehicle back onto the roadway and left the area. At this time it cannot be confirmed that this is the same vehicle involved in both incidents.
