OSPS logoA 911 bomb comment lands man in jail for public mischief.

On Thursday, October 18, 2018 shortly after 1:00 pm Owen Sound Police Services Communication Centre received a call from a 48 year old Owen Sound man demanding he be transferred to another agency. Before dispatchers could assist him, he became extremely irate and made comments about an emergency situation, him becoming Rambo, and that there’s a bomb threat. Owen Sound Police investigation identified the accused. The accused was subsequently located walking along 6th Street East at which time he was arrested. Owen Sound Police confirmed that the accused did not have any explosives. The accused was charged with Public Mischief and held for a bail hearing scheduled for today.
