Ontario Provincial Police LogoOn November 30, 11:01 pm Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police were called to a Berford Street apartment, South Bruce Peninsula for a threats occurrence. The complainant at the address reported that three males attended the apartment with a weapon in hand and made a threat. The complainant and a second person in the residence were not physically injured. There is no evidence to suggest that there is any threat to the public.

On December 4, 2018 Bruce Peninsula OPP officers arrested outstanding known male. 20-year-old male, Jacob STOTT of Georgian Bluffs has been charged with the following:

Robbery with Intent, section 344(1)(b) Criminal Code of Canada (CC)
Mischief Under $ 5,000, section 430(4) CC
Fail to Comply with Probation Order, section 733.1(1) CC
Two counts of Breach of Recognizance, section 811 CC

Bruce Peninsula OPP officers and members of Grey County/Bruce Peninsula OPP Crime Unit are continuing the criminal investigation. Police are seeking assistance from the public in identifying the other two male suspects.

Suspect #1 - approximately 5'6" tall, skinny build

Suspect #2 - approximately 5'8" tall, skinny build, t-shirt with a colourful jersey over top, basketball shorts, flat brimmed cap, receding hair line

Following a bail hearing the accused was held in custody. His next court date will be December 6, 2018 in Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound.
