Ontario Provincial Police LogoOn December 5, 2018 at 11:01 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police were called to a residence at Road 120, Grey Highlands for an injured male victim. Police attended the address and arrested a male at the scene. Grey County OPP officers were assisted by OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) members and OPP Canine Unit, and a second male was located and arrested.

Members of the Grey County OPP Crime Unit, under the direction of Detective Inspector Randy Gaynor of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), continue to investigate the criminal occurrence.

Punit GANDHI, 29-years-old, of Brampton, Isaiah MORRIS, 22-years-old, of Southgate were arrested and charged with:

Attempt to Commit Murder, section 239(1)(b) Criminal Code of Canada (CC)
Aggravated Assault, section 268 CC
Kidnapping - confine, section 279(1.1)(b) CC
Forcible Confinement, section 279(2) CC
Robbery with Weapon, section 344(1)(b) CC

Both appeared for a bail hearing, where they have been held in custody. A subsequent court date has been scheduled for December 10, 2018 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound.
