tire winter opp fullA stolen vehicle has been recovered by police.

On February 4, 2019 at approximately 9:18 a.m. Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle, a blue 2001 Dodge Ram pick-up truck, was parked on Sykes Street North in the Municipality of Meaford. The vehicle was unlocked and the keys inside.

At approximately 7:30 p.m., the same day, Grey County OPP was notified that the vehicle was located in a ditch on Concession 16 in the Municipality of West Grey. The vehicle was recovered and towed to the Chatsworth OPP Detachment for examination purposes.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call Grey County OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or submit a secure web-tip at www.cstip.ca, where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2000.

Grey County OPP once again urge residents to lock their vehicles and pocket the keys. It only takes a few seconds for someone to steal your vehicle.
