A downtown intersection has reopened, following a serious collision.

At approximately 9:40 a.m., the Owen Sound Police Service, Fire and Emergency Services responded to a serious personal injury collision at 2nd Avenue East and 8th Street East.

Two vehicles collided at the intersection and as a result of that impact, one person was transported to the hospital with undisclosed injuries.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene and the intersection is now open.
