Hanover PoliceA stolen vehicle has been recovered in Hanover, but the suspect has not been located.

On Monday, April 8th, 2019, at approximately 4:40 a.m., a member of the Hanover Police Service observed a stolen black, Dodge Ram “dually” pickup truck traveling at a high rate of speed on 10th Avenue at 2nd Street in the Town of Hanover.

Hanover Police Service lost sight of the stolen vehicle but continued to patrol the area locating it parked unoccupied in the area of 9th Avenue and 14th Street.

An investigation determined that a suspect was observed running from the stolen vehicle just prior to police arrival.

Hanover Police Service established containment with the assistance of the West Grey Police Service, Ontario Provincial Police Emergency Response Team and their K9 Unit that resulted in the suspect not being located.

Hanover Police Service continues to investigate this incident and is requesting anyone who has information related to this stolen vehicle, observed it or has video evidence that they believe may be related is asked to contact them at 519-364-2411 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
