OS Policesept fullA Mount Forest women has been charged in a Fentanyl trafficking investigation.

On April 18, 2019 a 35 year old female from Mount Forest was arrested in the parking lot of a downtown business by the Owen Sound Police Service Drug Enforcement Unit and Uniform Patrol. There was an arrest warrant in effect for the woman who was also on probation and bound by conditions of multiple release orders from custody including a Recognizance of Bail and an Undertaking.

Police subsequently seized highly toxic blue and purple Fentanyl from the women’s possession along with a set of digital scales and cash. The total street value of the seizure is between $800 and $1,000.

The accused is charged with Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Proceeds of Crime, Failure to Comply with Recognizance of Bail, Failure to Comply with an Undertaking and Breach of a Probation Order.

The accused has been detained in custody pending a bail hearing on April 19, 2019.
