Investigators arrested a wanted male and female suspect in Owen Sound for a shooting incident that occurred on Wednesday July 3rd in the Town of Whitby.

On Thursday, July 4, 2019, members of the Durham Regional Police Service Tactical Support Unit, Intelligence Unit, K-9 Unit and Owen Sound Police Service assisted investigators from the Central West Division Criminal Investigation Bureau in the arrest of the wanted suspects at two Owen Sound locations including a hotel. The male and female suspects were taken into custody without incident. Police executed search warrants which resulted in the seizure of a firearm, ammunition and drugs.

A man age 29 and a woman age 32, both of No Fixed Address, face numerous firearm-related charges. They were held for a bail hearing. The investigation is still ongoing.

Investigators are looking for  anyone who may have dash-cam video of the two cars racing from Consumers Road to the Whitby Mall on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at the time of 2:30 a.m.
