OS Policesept fullOn the 8th of July 2019 at approximately 6:30 pm Owen Sound Police responded to the top of 10th Street West hill for a collision between a car and a motorcycle.

Police learned that the 47 year old Owen Sound motorcyclist was travelling eastbound on 10th Street West towards 6th Avenue West. At this time a car being driven by a 77 year old Owen Sound man proceeded to make a left turn from westbound 10th Street West towards southbound of 6th Avenue West. The car crossed into the path of the motorcycle and the two collided. The motorcyclist was transported to hospital for serious but non-life threatening injuries. The car driver was not injured.

The driver of the car was charged with Left turn – fail to afford reasonable opportunity to avoid collision under the Highway Traffic Act.
