OS Police target fullOn 23July2019 members of the Owen Sound Police Service Drug Enforcement Unit, Criminal Investigations Branch and Uniform Patrol concluded a Fentanyl trafficking investigation with the execution of a search warrant at Apt #1- 597 2nd Avenue East.

Upon entry, police took five Owen Sound residents into custody and seized more than $3,000 worth of highly toxic purple Fentanyl. Police also found smaller quantities of Crystal Methamphetamine and Oxycodone as well as more than $1,000 in cash proceeds from the sale of Fentanyl, stolen property and a prohibited weapon.

Further investigation revealed that three of the occupants of the residence were wanted on outstanding arrest warrants issued by Owen Sound Police and the O.P.P.

Four of the five occupants are being detained in police custody pending bail hearings which are scheduled for 24July2019 at 10:00 a.m.

The target of the investigation, a 33 year- old Owen Sound man who was already on house- arrest based on convictions for previous drug trafficking offences, has been charged with numerous additional offences as follows;

  1. ) Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking
  2. ) Possession of Methamphetamine
  3. ) Possession of Oxycodone
  4. ) Possession of Proceeds of Crime
  5. ) Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
  6. / 7. ) Breach of Recognizance of Bail (2 counts)
