Ontario Provincial Police LogoBeginning in February, 2019 to April, 2019, Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and South Bruce OPP, along with Owen Sound Police and Saugeen Shores Police, investigated multiple break and enters and thefts from numerous car wash facilities and a laundromat, in Grey and Bruce Counties.

On June 26, 2019 members of the Ontario Provincial Police executed a search warrant at a residence on Side Road 10 South, Brockton. Officers arrested a male at the residence.

29 year old, Shawn OEHRING of Brockton has been charged with the following,

  • 2 counts of Break and Enter a place, with the intent to commit an indictable offence, section 348(1)(a) Criminal Code of Canada (CC)
  • 6 counts of Break and Enter a place, commit an indictable offence, section 348 (1)(b) CC
  • 7 counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order, section 733.1(1) CC
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance, Sec 4(1) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act

The accused was released on a Promise to Appear in Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton on July 24, 2019.
