On Tuesday the 1^st of October shortly before 5:00 pm Owen Sound Police were alerted by citizens of 2 men drinking alcoholic beverages in a pick-up truck parked in a parking lot of an upper west side apartment complex. Police attended and located the two men who still had open liquor in the vehicle. Investigation revealed that the driver was impaired. The 56 year old Owen Sound man was arrested and brought to the police station. Test results revealed that the man had consumed almost twice the legal limit of alcohol. He must now attend court to answer to impaired driving charges. Furthermore, his driver’s license has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle he was operating has been impounded for 7 days.
