Attack Knights

The Owen Sound Attack will try to be the comeback kids when Game 4 of their Western Conference Quarterfinal gets underway on Wednesday, Mar. 30 at the Bayshore.

After dropping a 5-1 decision to the London Knights in Game 3 on Monday evening, the Attack are in a similar position to the one they faced after losing the series opener by a score of 4-1 at the Budweiser Gardens.

The Attack, who have shown a relentless forecheck and focused defensive acumen through the series' first three games, were able to rebound after that Game 1 loss to stymie the Knights in Game 2.

A 2-0 victory, backstopped by Michael McNiven's first career OHL post-season shutout, tied the series 1-1 and gave the Attack home ice advantage.

Although the Knights regained the home ice boost following Game 3, Owen Sound's feisty Bayshore crowd made it a difficult atmosphere for London to play in for much of Monday night's contest.

But the Knights were still able to prevail, buoyed in part by two goal performances by Mitch Marner and Matthew Tkachuk and a 37 save performance by Tyler Parsons.

Owen Sound got their offence on Monday night thanks to Damir Sharipzyanov's game opening one-timer on assists from Ethan Szypula and Thomas Schemitsch, while the McNiven also turned in a solid 36 save performance on the evening.

The focus shifts now to Wednesday though, and the Attack will look to even up the series before shifting back to London for Game 5 on Friday night.
