attack-white-fullThe Owen Sound Attack will look to rebound from a loss to the Erie Otters when they continue action in Week 8 of the Ontario Hockey League on Friday, Nov. 11. After falling 5-1 to the Otters on Tuesday night, the Attack will head to Kitchener for a Remembrance Day tilt against the Rangers that is slated to get underway at 7:30pm.

Owen Sound enters Friday night's game with a record of 10-9-0, good for 20 points in 7th in the Western Conference. The Rangers sit just one point ahead of the Attack with a mark of 10-6-0-1 which places them at 6th overall in the conference.

Both teams suffered their last loss at the hands of the OHL leading Otters, with Owen Sound falling 5-1 while Kitchener was down 7-3 on Nov. 5.

While the loss to Erie was a stumble in the road for the Attack, the Rangers have now lost three straight games and have fallen out of the CHL's Top 10 Rankings.

The Attack and Rangers have met once on the year already, with Owen Sound claiming a 5-3 victory at the Bayshore in a game that saw both Kevin Hancock and Petrus Palmu record a pair of goals and an assist.

Palmu, a 3rd year import from Finland, leads the Attack in scoring on the year with 24 points thanks to his 14 goals and 10 assists. Sophomore forward Nick Suzuki is just behind him in the team scoring race with 10 goals and 13 assists, which puts him on pace for 82 points over the course of a 68 game season.

Kitchener's leading scorer is Florida Panthers prospect Adam Mascherin, who has scored 10 goals and added 20 assists in 16 games this season.

The 3rd year forward is aided by Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Jeremy Bracco, who is producing at a near two-point-per-game clip thanks to his nine goals and 27 points in 14 games of action in 2016-17.

Friday night's action will be available to watch live on Rogers Local 53 while also being broadcast on Kia Of Owen Sound/Terry's Trailer Service Bear Radio on 560 CFOS.

Following their trip to Kitchener, the Attack will return home to take on the Ottawa 67's at the Bayshore on Saturday night.

Ottawa, who is making their lone trip to the Scenic City on the year, will travel to Guelph on Friday for a primer against the Storm. The 67's enter the week with the Eastern Conference's 2nd worst record at 6-10-2-0.

Owen Sound and Ottawa split the 2015-16 season series, with each team claiming victory on the road.

Prior to Saturday night's game, the Attack will hold a moment of silence for former Owen Sound Plater Ryan Crowther, who unexpectedly passed away in Chicago this past weekend. A GoFundMe account has been set up to help Ryan's wife Sarah and their family with the costs associated with an autopsy and transporting his remains back to Canada.
