LyleAcquiredThe Owen Sound Attack and General Manager Dale DeGray is announcing it has acquired right handed defenceman Brady Lyle and a 7th Round Pick in the 2020 OHL Priority Selection from the North Bay Battalion.

In exchange for the 18 year old rear guard, the Attack have sent the Battalion goaltender Christian Propp, and Owen Sound's 10th Round Pick in the 2020 OHL Priority Selection.

Earlier in the day, the Attack acquired Propp - 6'2, 195lbs goaltender out of Milton, ON - from the Barrie Colts in exchange for the Erie Otters' 2nd Round Pick in the 2019 OHL Priority Selection, as well as Owen Sound's 5th round pick in 2019 and 7th round pick in 2020.

Lyle, a native of North Bay, was the Battalion's 1st round pick (18th overall) in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection. In 111 career Ontario Hockey League games, he was scored seven goals while adding 30 assists. In nine games so far this season, Lyle found the back of the net twice.

Of Lyle, DeGray said "he's a strong, puck moving defenceman that brings a lot to our back end. Being a right handed shot helps add depth to our blueline and we think he'll fit in fantastically in our dressing room."

Lyle will not be in uniform when the Attack take on the Otters in Erie this evening, and is expected to join his teammates for practice on Monday, Oct. 23.

Puck drop at the Erie Insurance Arena is slated for 5:00pm and can be viewed live on Rogers Local 53 or listened to live on Kia of Owen Sound/Terry's Trailer Service Bear Radio.
