attack-fullThe Owen Sound Attack return to action with a pair of games this weekend, hitting the road to visit the Mississauga Steelheads before returning to the Bayshore to play host to the London Knights.

Both games will be the Attack's 2nd meeting of the year with their respective foes, with Friday night's 7:00pm tilt at the Hershey Centre representing the final meeting of the season between the Bears and the Trout.

Sitting at 2nd place in the Midwest Division with an 8-4-0-2 record through 14 games Owen Sound is coming off of a 5-4 loss to the Windsor Spitfires on Sunday, Oct. 29, while the Steelheads enter the weekend with a record of 5-9-0-0, good for 10 points and 5th in the Central Division.

Continuing to find themselves amongst the league leaders in points, Nick Suzuki and Sean Durzi lead the offensive charge for the Attack having recorded 26 and 25 points respectively on the year.

Durzi, whose eight goals and 17 assists lead all OHL defenceman, was recently named the League's Defenceman of the Month for October after scoring seven goals and 13 assists in 11 games.

Mississauga counters with draft eligible Ryan McLeod, who has six goals and 10 assists for 16 points thus far on the season, while former Guelph Storm forward Albert Michnac has 15 points on the season for the Steelheads.

The previous meeting between Owen Sound and Mississauga saw the Attack pick up a 6-4 win at the Bayshore on Saturday, Sept, 30 - just Owen Sound's 3rd game of the season.

Fans wishing to catch Friday's game live should note that it will be available solely on Kia of Owen Sound/Terry's Trailer Service Bear Radio on 560 CFOS, with neither Rogers Local 53 nor OHL Live carrying the game.

Following the trip down Highway 10, the Attack will return home to face off against the London Knights, whom they defeated 4-3 in overtime in their only previous matchup at Budweiser Gardens on Sunday, Oct. 15.

London, who sits at 5th place in the Midwest with a 5-9-1-0 record and recently had a four game winning streak snapped by the Guelph Storm, will play at home to the Saginaw Spirit on Friday night before making the trek to the Bayshore.

Powering the Knights' goal scoring is St. Louis Blues prospect Robert Thomas, who has nine goals and eight assists in 12 games on the year. Sitting second in team scoring is draft eligible blueliner Evan Bouchard, who has scored three times and chipped in with nine helpers through 15 games this season.
