Attack-north-fullThe Owen Sound Attack is set to head north for a three game road trip, taking on the North Bay Battalion, Sudbury Wolves, and Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in three games in three nights beginning on Thursday. The Attack will look to build on the momentum they gained thanks to a big win over the Ottawa 67's on Sunday, Oct. 5.

In Sunday's 7-2 victory, captain Zach Nastasiuk and rookie import Petrus Palmu both found the back of the net twice, while 1st year forward Jonah Gadjovich scored the 1st goal of his OHL career.

The team heads into the road trip with a balanced scoring attack, having three players tally seven points through the 1st five games of the season.

Daniel Milne leads the team with three goals and four assists while Kyle Platzer and Damir Sharipzyanov both have one goal and six assists. Nastasiuk has found the back of the net four times so far on the year to go along with his two assists for six points.

The Attack is also entering the road trip with both Jack Flinn (4) and Brandon (5) Hope sitting inside the league's top five goalies, with Flinn posting a 2.28 goals against average and a .926 save percentage in three games, while Hope has a 2.40 GAA and .932 save percentage.

Of note, the Attack made some roster moves as forwards Nick Marois and Daniel Pugliese are no longer with the team. Marois returned home to Quebec while Pugliese was re-assigned to his Junior B club yesterday.

Owen Sound returns to the JD McArthur Arena for a pair of games on Saturday, Oct. 18 and Sunday, Oct. 19 when they will take on the Oshawa Generals and the Windsor Spitfires.

Game time is set for 7:30 pm and 2:00 pm respectively.

Tickets for all Attack home games can be purchased at the DJ's Furniture Attack Box Office, online at www.attackhockey.com, or by calling 519-371-7452.

KEYS TO VICTORY

VS. North Bay (2-0-1-0) – The Battalion are without last year's captain, Barclay Goodrow, who lead them to an OHL Championship Series appearance. But despite missing a key veteran, the squad is still returning a large core of players, as well as a starting goalie. Stan Butler coached teams are known for their defence and discipline, and the Attack will look to minimize trips to the box while maximizing offensive opportunities to win.

VS. Sudbury (1-4-0-0) – The Wolves have struggled to start the year and will be coming off of a tough game against the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds on Wednesday night. Another young team, the Attack will look to use a hard forecheck to intimidate the younger players and create chances.

VS. Sault Ste. Marie (4-0-0-0) – The Greyhounds are a skilled team that is still missing some key pieces of their lineup. The Attack will look to slow down the Hounds' offense and clog up the neutral zone in order to prevent any scoring chances.
