It was another cold and wet night on the lacrosse field last night at Victoria Park but the girls in the Owen Sound Hyundai U11 House League program didn't let that impact their efforts. In a tightly contested game, Team Velostar's Olivia Thornton scored a last minute go-ahead goal to give her team the win over Team Tucson 2-1.

Scarlett Stevenson scored the first goal of the game to put Team Velostar up 1-0. Eva Sword scored midway through the game as team Tucson tied the game 1-1. The game remained tied until the final minute of play when Olivia Thornton got her own rebound and buried the game winning goal.

The shooting star awards went to goal scorers: Scarlett Stevenson and Eva Sword and to Ally Scott for her hustle and ability to track down a number of loose balls.
