In Game 1, Owen Sound fell 6-1 to Hamilton. Megan Cowan scored the lone goal for Owen Sound - the first of her career.

In Game 2, Owen Sound lost 7-3 to Orillia 2. Emma Cooper, Hannah Davies and Jessa Rutter each scored a single. Mykah Harris played two solid games in net for Owen Sound.

The team is next in action on Sunday, July 7 in Orangeville where they play Oshawa 2 and Oakville 2.

The Owen Sound Firefighters U11A Girls Field Lacrosse team also competed in Brampton Sunday and won both their games improving their record to 7-3.

In their first game, the team defeated Orillia Lady Kings by a score of 9-5. Rory Jex scored 3 goals, Taryn Weppler and Bree Wilkins each scored 2 goals while Megan Nissen and Leah Cooper added singles.

In their second game of the day, the team defeated Kitchener Waterloo United 7-2. Leah Cooper scored 3 goals, Bree Wilkins 2 goals, and Rory Jex and Avery Seaman scored one goal each.

The team play next July 7th in Orangeville.

The Owen Sound 2 MacKinnon Plumbing and Heating U11 Girls came home with 2 wins in Ontario Women’s Field Lacrosse action in Brampton.

Northstar’s first game was against Orillia 2 beating them by a score of 7-5. Goals scored by Adalyn Jackson (2), Lily Shute (2), Brianna Bisson, Madison Walker and Mya Good.

Game two they were up against Orangeville 2 beating them by a score of 11-0. Goals were scored by Ella Todd (2), Lily Shute (2), Lucy Nickel, Brianna Bisson, Reese Holman, Alexis Sutherland, Janey Harris, Madison Walker, and Brylynn Benjamin.

The team has a few weeks off and resumes play in Halton Hills for Crossovers on July 14.
