The struggling Sudbury Wolves were just what the doctor ordered for the Owen Sound Attack, who were mired in their own three-game losing funk going into Saturday night's game.

The Attack beat the Wolves 7-2, powered mostly by the Attack's specialty teams, which collected three power play goals and a short-handed one.

The Wolves have only seven wins this season and a total of 16 points.Attack3-Jan30-featb

The Attack win was backstopped by Jack Flinn, who stopped 25 of 27 shots. Attack goals were scored by Justin Brack, Jaden Lindo, Zach Nastasiuk, Erik Bradford, Jacob Busch, Kyle Platzer and Daniel Milne. Chris Bigras and Liam Dunda both picked up a couple of assists. The assists for Bigras give him 102 helpers in his OHL career, which is a new record for Attack defencemen.

Sudbury goalie Samuel Tanguay picked up the loss, stopping 22 of 29 shots.

Heading into the game, the Attack were in a tailspin, having been outscored 19 to 9 and outshot 123-67 by their opponents in their three prior games.

Friday night, the Attack lost to division rival Kitchener 5-2 in what was their eighth and final meeting this season. Flinn took the loss. Owen Sound got goals from Bradford and Jeff Gilligan.

The Attack are 20-16-2-7, good for 49 points.
