After starting their 2022-23 season with one show about a fairytale, and another based on the real life events of a couple during the pandemic, the Owen Sound Little Theatre is heading back to the 1930s with their third production of the season, The Game’s Afoot.

This play, written by Ken Ludwig, is a comedic murder mystery that is sure to give audiences a night of fun and humour.

Directed by John Flynn, who last directed murder mystery The Mousetrap on The Roxy stage, The Game’s Afoot sees acclaimed actor of the 1930s, William Gillette, invite his Sherlock Holmes co-stars to his eccentric Connecticut mansion for a Christmas Eve celebration. When one of the guests is murdered it’s up to Gillette himself, who employs the persona of the master detective he’s made famous on the stage, to track down the killer before the next victim appears.

Non-stop laughter and danger await in this who-done-it comedy farce.

"If you are in need of a good laugh and something to challenge your detective skills, then The Game’s Afoot is just the thing.” says Flynn. “This talented and seasoned cast is bringing to life magnificent characters and working with a deadly funny script that is sure to tickle the funny bone.”

The production runs April 6-8 and 12-15 at 7:30 p.m. Masking is appreciated at all shows, but only required for the April 14th show, where, for the safety of our patrons, we are offering a masked patron performance. Tickets can be purchased in person at our box office, online, or by calling 519.371.2833.
