Owen Sound Artists' Co-op presents "the Tree show" in the Legacy Gallery for the month of March 2016. In association with The Extraordinary Tree Project, this exhibition features selected artists from Grey and Bruce Counties whose work is inspired by, involves or reflects a relationship with trees.

Eighteen artists were selected. They span the scale from emerging artists to masters of their craft or art. None of them are members of the Owen Sound Artists' Co-op, although some may have been guest artists in the past and one is a former member! Within the Co-op membership are many whose work is very twigappropriate for this exhibition. Their works can be seen in the Co-op on a regular basis. Some members are choosing to make new works which embody the tree theme, joining in the celebration of spring and the sap rising. For this show the invitation was widened to include works which are not as readily available.

You will find a wide variety of objects and artworks. The range of materials is extensive: wood, willow, silver, pastels, photography, watercolours, acrylic, encaustic, beadwork and more.

The Tree show runs for the entire month of March. Meet the artists, savour their works and enjoy some refreshments on Sunday March 20 (spring equinox!) from 2 to 4 pm.

The Co-op's new location is 942 2nd Ave. East in the historic McKay building. Regular hours are Monday to Saturday from 9:30 to  5:30.
