City officials report that 3rd Avenue East is now completely closed. Both north bound and south bound traffic will no longer be able to drive through the project limits at any time.
The closure will be set up at the end of each day and for weekends. The closure will change daily as the work progresses but will not extend outside of the boundary of the project. The Contractor will be communicating with local residents affected by the closure and assist them with parking and accessing their homes directly. Emergency Services will be notified at the end of each day indicating the exact location of the closure.
South bound traffic entering the City on East Bayshore Road will be diverted to 9th Avenue East via Detour 4 (D4). D4 will direct traffic back to 3rd Avenue East at 15th Street East. North bound traffic on 3rd Avenue East will be diverted at 15th Street East to 9th Avenue East via Detour 3 (D3). D3 will direct traffic to East Bayshore Road via 28th Street East.
