goodsechange-fullThe first of three 'Goods Exchange Days' for 2017 will be taking place on Saturday, April 22.

Goods Exchange Day diverts usable items and materials from landfill disposal. It is also a great way to get rid of unwanted stuff without the hassle of having to host a garage sale.

City residents are invited to place unwanted but still usable items at the curb in front of their homes after 8:00 AM on Saturday April 22. If you are looking for something, tour around the city and pick up items that can be re-used.

Popular Goods Exchange Day items include sporting goods, furniture, small appliances, books, art, tools, toys, doors, sinks, windows etc. Anything that does not find a new home must be taken back inside by 6:00 PM.

To ensure that items at the curb are indeed intended as Goods Exchange Day items, we ask that residents tie a white plastic bag to one of the items at the curb.

As always, residents are reminded to please drive carefully, watch for pedestrians, and obey traffic laws in their quest for curbside bargains.
