The City of Owen Sound is excited to invite residents and visitors alike to enjoy free family activities and movie nights under the stars! Each of the three Outdoor Movie Nights will feature a family-friendly movie, preceded by creative and engaging children’s activities.
Outdoor Movie Nights schedule is as follows:
- Thursday, August 1st: Mary Poppins Returns, at Harrison Park
- Thursday, August 8th: Trolls, at Municipal Lot 5 in downtown Owen Sound (behind Scotiabank)
- Thursday, August 15th: The Sandlot, at Duncan McLellan Park (Duncan Major Diamond)
In case of poor weather, each Outdoor Movie Night will be relocated to a nearby indoor venue. These back up rain locations include Harrison Park Community Centre on August 1st, Harmony Centre on August 8th, and Bayshore Community Centre on August 15th, if necessary.
Free family activities begin around 7:30 PM to engage children and burn some energy prior to the movies starting after sunset. Each Outdoor Movie Night is free to attend and includes free popcorn for kids (limited quantity available).
Owen Sound’s Outdoor Movie Nights is presented by Nicole Amos, Mortgage Broker with The Mortgage Centre, and the City of Owen Sound.
Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, snacks and friends - anything required to be comfortable and enjoy a family-focused movie night under the stars! Seating is not provided.
