Owen Sound is pleased to announce the hiring of Aidan Ware as the new Director and Chief Curator of the Tom Thomson Art Gallery.

Ms. Ware brings 17 years of public gallery experience, most recently as the Director of Cambridge Art Galleries. Prior to that she held the position of Director and Curator at Gallery Stratford and the Education and Development Coordinator with the Art Gallery of Guelph.

"It is an honour to return to my roots in Grey County to lead this important public art gallery which carries in its name and permanent collection, the legacy of one of Canada's most iconic and influential artists," says Ms. Ware. "I look forward to working with the City of Owen Sound and the gallery team to build a strong and vibrant future for the Tom Thomson Art Gallery."

Ms. Ware begins her new role with the City on April 27, 2020.
