drive in movieThe City of Owen Sound, in partnership with Miller Waste Systems and E.C. King Contracting will be hosting two Pop-Up Drive-In Movie Nights on August 27 and September 10. These events will take place in the south parking lot of the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre and will begin at approximately 8:00 PM, when the sun goes down.

The Movie Nights will be free to the public, however movie-goers will be required to reserve their ticket online in advance, as the event will have limited capacity to ensure physical distancing is maintained. Tickets for the event on August 27 are available now. Tickets for the September 10 event will be available Tuesday, September 1.

The August 27 movie will be The Lion King (2019), chosen via an online poll on the City’s website.

“I hope that residents enjoy this unique opportunity to attend a drive-in movie on our beautiful waterfront,” stated Mayor Ian Boddy. “We would like to thank Miller Waste and E.C. King Contracting for their support of this event and continued support of the community.”
