CommunityGarden

The City is requesting public input on Owen Sound’s Community Garden Policy update. Citizens and visitors are invited to complete the online survey and provide feedback until January 27.

The City’s Community Garden Policy, adopted in 2011, guides the placement and operation of community gardens on City-owned lands.

It was developed with public consultation and identified several approved Community Garden locations in City parks throughout the City.

An updated Community Garden Policy will establish new and existing locations where community gardens would be permitted without further consultation.

The updated policy is also intended to streamline future application requirements.

To learn more and have your feedback considered in the updated Community Garden Policy, please visit the project at OurCity.OwenSound.ca.
