Release your inner nerd and experience the 11th annual Owen Sound Mini Con, Saturday, May 6, at the Owen Sound & North Grey Union Public Library.

Starting at 10:00 a.m., the Owen Sound Mini Con (OSMiCon) presents an entire day of comics and fandom related programming, including videogame tournaments, board games with Scenic City Game Emporium, Dungeons & Dragons one shots, button making, prize draws, a kaiju photo wall and more.

Come in costume to take part in our morning kids cosplay parade at 11:00 a.m. or stick around for the cosplay competition in the Auditorium at 3:00 p.m.

This event is mostly free, but bring money if you would like to purchase a snack at the Superhero Café, buy something from one of our exhibiting artists, or make a donation.

Auditorium Level

Videogame Tournament – 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros. and more! Face all challengers to find who is the greatest champion.

Superhero Café – 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Snacks will be available for purchase. Proceeds go to support the future of OSMiCon.

Cosplay Competition – 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Come dressed as your favourite cartoon or comic book character for a chance to win the adoration of the audience ... and prizes!

Main Level

Scenic City Games – 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Play some of the hottest board games from the last few years and check out some brand new titles.

Scott Caple – 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Meet an animator, ask him questions! Previous work includes films for Disney and Pixar. Scott will be drawing and showing his work.

Cathy Hird – 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Local author of fantasy series combining the modern day with ancient Celtic cultures; set in Grey County.

Shawna Katz – 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Adorable crocheted toys, including unicorns, zombies, aliens and funky wearables.

Button Maker – 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Design and make your very own one-of-a-kind comic-book-themed button; 25 cents each.

Carnegie Level

Dungeons & Dragons One Shot – 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Join a one-hour campaign and meet other adventurers!
Register ahead of time to guarantee a place at the table.

Youth Services

Kaiju Photowall – all day
Come pose as your favourite kaiju (giant monster) in our epic city scape.

Prize Draws – all day
Enter your name in one of various prize draws. Winners will be contacted the next week. Donation jars will be out for those who would like to contribute to the continuing growth of OSMiCon.

Kids Crafts / Papercraft – all day
Get super crafty and create something fun.

Exquisite Corpse Station – all day
Add to or start a collaborative comic strip, or feel free to do your own thing.

Prop Building Sandbox – 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Creative chaos. We provide the supplies, you provide the imagination. Put together costume props like shields, capes and gauntlets using materials provided.

Kids Cosplay Parade – 11:00 a.m.
Come dressed as your favourite character and celebrate OSMiCon with a parade around the Library.

Giant Board Game – 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
