BrucePower Bus Tour

Bruce Power’s Summer Site Bus Tour Program was another rousing success, with nearly 7,000 people taking a tour or stopping into the Visitors’ Centre from June to September.

The bus tours, which returned from a COVID-19 hiatus in 2022, were held daily in June and three times a day in July and August, ending on Aug. 31.

“We take great pride in welcoming thousands of people to learn more about reliable and carbon-free nuclear power, as well as the production of medical isotopes and our positive impact on the local and provincial economies,” said Dwight Irwin, Bruce Power’s Manager of Community Relations. “By telling the great story that is Bruce Power, we are educating the public about Ontario’s most important and reliable energy source – nuclear power.”

The end of summer doesn’t mean the end of programming at the Visitors’ Centre, which is open to the public year-round, Monday to Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. If your school or community organization would like to come to the Visitors’ Centre for a presentation or site tour, email [email protected] or call 519-361-7777 to discuss the options for your group.

“It’s an exciting time to be involved in the nuclear industry, and public interest has never been greater as people become more in tune with the world’s need for carbon-free nuclear energy,” Irwin added.
