summerfolklogoEntering its 44th year, Summerfolk is a family-oriented, not-for-profit, community event that is presented by the GBFS and over 750 volunteers. With seven stages, a children's area, dance stage, licensed area, and a kids' parade, there is something for everyone. 42 volunteers crews, local and international performers, one-of-a-kind artisans, and a food village serve as many as 14,000 people on site over the three day event.

The GBFS Board of Directors is comprised of leaders from the non-profit and for-profit sector, who are dedicated to a governance model, and whose actions are guided by a current strategic planning process. Responsibilities include attending monthly board meetings, and contributing to ensuring the legal, ethical and fiscal integrity of the organization through involvements in various expertise-related committees.

We invite individuals with previous non-profit board experience, proven community engagement, and familiarity with Summerfolk Music and Crafts Festival (or other similar cultural event) to apply.
