Volunteers assisting at a special event
Have you heard about Giving Tuesday? Giving Tuesday is a global movement for giving that falls after Black Friday and Cyber Monday to mark the start of year-end donations.

As described on givingtuesday.ca “GivingTuesday harnesses the potential of social media and the generosity of people around the world to bring about real change in their communities; it provides a platform for them to encourage the donation of time, resources and talents to address local challenges. It also brings together the collective power of a unique blend of partners - nonprofits, civic organizations, businesses and corporations, as well as families and individuals - to encourage and amplify small acts of kindness. Across Canada and around the world, GivingTuesday unites communities by sharing our capacity to care for and empower one another.”

BCM volunteersWhen you make a donation to the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre, you help ensure that BCM&CC continues to inspire, educate and remain the premier destination of choice for exploring Bruce County’s collective history. You can support the Museum by giving to the “Have a Seat Campaign”, the Endowment Fund, donating Artifacts, or by making a financial donation. Donations may be made online at brucemuseum.ca and all donations receive a tax receipt for the full amount.

Members of “Shoreline Self Advocates” purchased a seat in 2019!

Another way to support the Museum is by becoming a volunteer – discover rewarding experiences at the Museum. Volunteers are the building blocks of the BCM&CC, and many activities and programming depend on the assistance of dedicated volunteers. There are many opportunities available such as giving tours, helping with special events, school programming, Visitor Services and so much more! When you volunteer at BCM&CC, you become a guide of culture and history in Bruce County.

Thank you for helping BCM&CC create dynamic, diverse & engaging experiences! The BCM&CC is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., for additional details on donations, volunteering, exhibit, programs and events please visit brucemuseum.ca.
