treeinacup

- by L. Jillian

How have I been spending my first day of spring corona isolation? No, not scarfing down Starbucks mudpuddle water. But I HAVE been using their trash to plant trees. This method is entirely free.

Cups and bottles are collected on trash cleans, holes cut in the bottom; soil is from garden (because I don't really have access to potted soil at the mo); and seeds are gathered from local, native trees in the woods (this one was from that old sugar maple at Harrison that looks like it might have been an indigenous trail marker).

If you're worried about tree planting, just try it. Send me any questions you have (I'll try and answer them, but I'm still learning too ?).

The outdoors is NOT closed, so go out and enjoy.
