MILDMAY - September 27, 2014 at 7:44 am, the South Bruce OPP received a call to assist the West Grey Police Service with a missing person search.
On October 3, 2014, the West Region OPP Emergency Response Team and OPP Canine Unit located the body of a male. The South Bruce OPP is currently working to positively identify the recovered man.
The South Bruce OPP is requesting anyone with information that can assist police to call 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or send a web-tip to crimestop-gb.org, where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
Chesley-area students get a chance to picture their future careers.
Georgian College is once again helping local high school students picture their future.
Students at Chesley District High School will take part in an event, called Picture Your Future, which uses green-screen technology to take the students' photos in various career settings such as firefighting, broadcasting, game development, nursing, and more. The event promotes the many career opportunities available to young people through a college education.
COLLINGWOOD - Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains OPP are asking for the public's assistance in solving a theft from a residence in Collingwood.
The theft took place between the 23rd of September to the 25th of September 2014 in the back yard of a residence on Telfer Road where culprit(s) made off with a trampoline. It is described as approximately 12 feet in diameter with safety neting and posts.
Mildmay – The South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is continuing to search for 36 year old Colen Pfeffer of Normanby Township. He was last seen in the early morning hours of September 24, 2014; his vehicle was located south west of Mildmay on September 27, 2014.

Walks with a limp due to recent surgery

Head lice are a common problem among children. While they are more of a nuisance than a health concern, they can cause a great deal of stress for families as they grapple with getting them out of their child's hair and home. Head lice, also called pediculosis, are not a sign of poor hygiene; anyone can get head lice. Often this time of year, parents will get a note from school letting them know that it is in the classroom and asking to check their child's head for both the lice and nits (eggs).
