OS-Police-target-fullOn Tuesday August 2, just before 2:00 am, members of the Owen Sound Police Service responded to a call for a theft at the Mac's convenience store located at 280 10th Street East.

The investigation led uniformed officers to a hotel on the east side of Owen Sound where two men were arrested for their involvement in the theft of jerky and energy drinks. Police recovered the stolen energy drinks and located a small quantity of marihuana and crystal methamphetamine.

A 43 year old Owen Sound man is charged for the offences of:

- Possession of a schedule I drug (Methamphetamine)

- Two counts of failing to comply with probation order and will appear before the provincial court on August 23, 2016

A 32 year old Markdale man is charged with the offences of:

- Theft under five thousand dollars

- Possession of stolen property under five thousand dollars

- Possession of a schedule II drug (Marihuana)

- Possession of a schedule I drug (Methamphetamine)

- Failing to comply with probation

- Failing to comply with recognizance and is held for a court appearance on August 3, 2016.
