Due to the weather and road conditions, all non-emergency surgeries booked at the Owen Sound and Meaford hospitals for tomorrow, December 16, 2016 have been cancelled. Staff are currently working to re-schedule all surgeries as soon as possible.

The ambulatory care department at the Owen Sound Hospital is also closed tomorrow, Friday, December 16. If you havea pre-scheduled appointment at any of the other GBHS Hospitals tomorrow (Lion's Head, Markdale, Meaford, Southampton andWiarton), please call the hospital before you leave home. The Emergency Departments at all GBHS hospitals are operating as usual 27/7. Any emergency surgery required by patients coming into the emergency department will be performed as normal. Due to roads closures, the flow of patients and staff into and out of hospital has been impacted. Pre-booked surgeries are being cancelled tomorrow as a pre-caution to reduce overflow in the hospitals and to ensure all resources can be dedicated to critical issues.
