liberalsThe Grey Bruce Federal Liberals (BGOS) met at the Harmony Center in Owen Sound on June 17 for their General Meeting. Guest speaker Kaisha Thompson addressed the membership bringing a positive message of the importance of volunteering at a local level during a political campaign. Kaisha is originally from Meaford and is a few weeks away from acquiring her law degree. Kaisha has worked on many campaigns, including Bill Morneau, Marco Mendicino, Bill Blair, just to name a few and her message was invigorating.

Newly acclaimed Chair of the BGOS Electoral District Association, Anne Robertson thanked those involved over the last year for their contributions to a revitalized team which endeavored to positively support our Liberal government which continues to face challenging times with the unpredictability of the state of affairs worldwide. Anne expressed her enthusiasm for looking forward to the next year working with the new and past EDA members who bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the local association. This team of dedicated volunteers will contribute towards a focused effort to support BGOS initiatives at the federal level.

Liam Kelly and Isabel Drummond reported on the progress made in reactivating the local Liberal Youth Organization. They have a 9 member young liberal's commission and are looking forward to the future and helping to create new policies that could benefit our riding.
