The Grey Bruce Health Unit is seeking assistance from the public in finding a cat involved in a biting incident that occurred in Owen Sound.

On July 2, 2017, a man was bitten by an orange and white cat while on his property in the vicinity of 27th Street West and 4th Ave, West Owen Sound. The cat had been observed by the victim on his property on several occasions prior to the biting incident. It had no collar.

Staff of the Grey Bruce Health Unit need to confirm the cat is not infectious with rabies. By verifying the health of the cat, the victim can avoid receiving the post-exposure rabies treatment.
