OS-Police-Targs-fullOn 26 August 2017 at approximately 9:14 pm the Owen Sound Police Service along with Fire and EMS were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of 16th Street East and 28th Avenue East Owen Sound.

The investigation revealed that a 2016 Ford F150 driven by a 46 year old Owen Sound woman was west bound on Hwy 26. The Ford F150 made a left turn at 28th Avenue East into the path of an east bound 2012 Ford Fusion driven by a 33 year old Oakville man. The collision was so furious that the Ford F150 came to rest on its side. The 46 year old female driver needed to be extricated from the truck.

There were a total of 9 occupants between the two vehicles including four children. Four persons were treated for minor injuries and released. Police continue to investigate and charges are pending.

Police are looking for witnesses to the collision and request anyone with information to contact Constable Thomas Harris of the Owen Sound Police Service at 519-376-1234 Ext 181.
