opp-crash-fullOn August 26, 2017 at approximately 7:53 p.m., Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police together with the Northern Bruce Fire Department and the Bruce County Paramedic Services responded to a head on collision between two vehicles on Highway 6 between Lindsay Road 30 and Miller Lake Road in Northern Bruce Peninsula.

Initial investigation by OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) reveals that a passenger vehicle, a Dodge Charger, was being driven erratically, southbound on Highway 6 when the driver collided head-on with a northbound sports utility vehicle (SUV). The impact caused the SUV to become engulfed in fire.

The deceased driver of the SUV, a Jeep Liberty, has been identified as 22-year old Traves Stephen Atchison of Bosanquet Township, Lampton Shores, Ontario. The deceased passenger, has been identified as 23-year old Jana Watson of Strathroy, Ontario.
