opp-bgraphic-fullOn August 31, 2017 at approximately 6:12 a.m., Grey County Provincial Police with the assistance of the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Unit (TTCI) investigated a single motor vehicle collision on Grey Road 4 between Grey Road 14 and the Artemesia-Glenelg Townline in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.

A Jeep Compass sport utility vehicle (SUV) was travelling westbound on Grey Road 4. The vehicle left the roadway and rolled down a steep embankment. The vehicle came to rest on its roof partially submerged in a pond located on the north side of Grey Road 4.

With the assistance of the OPP Underwater Search and Rescue Unit, the lone occupant of the vehicle was recovered from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene by the attending Coroner.

The deceased has been identified as 56-year old Mary Davieau of Brampton, Ontario.

Grey Road 4 between Grey Road 14 and the Artemesia-Glenelg Townline was closed for several hours during the course of the investigation.
