In the early morning hours of September 11, 2020 police responded to a dispute which had escalated to a serious stabbing incident in a downtown apartment. Grey County Emergency Medical Services rushed a 52 year-old Owen Sound man to hospital with serious injuries as a result of being stabbed multiple times, including in the head and neck. The man remains in hospital.

The man’s partner, a 40 year- old women, was arrested by Owen Sound Police Officers approximately two hours later and has been charged with Aggravated Assault and Assault with a weapon. The woman has made an initial court appearance and was remanded into custody.

Police have located and seized weapons believed to have been used in the incident, including a knife. The investigation is continuing and further charges are expected.
