On September 22, 2020 at 6:36 p.m., Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a missing 6 year old boy at Mapleport Crescent in Sauble Beach, South Bruce Peninsula. At the scene officers searched the residence and surrounding properties with negative results. It is believed that the missing boy walked away from the residence in an unknown direction.

On September 23, 2020, just after midnight, OPP Helicopter observed the boy in a wooded area within a kilometre of the residence. OPP Emergency Response Team members were directed to the boy's location, where he was found safe.
