During the evening hours of Monday September 28, 2020, a drug investigation conducted by the Owen Sound Police Service Drug Enforcement Unit concluded with the arrest of a 40 year- old Owen Sound man on 8th Street East in the downtown core. The man was found in possession of powder Fentanyl that drug unit investigators allege he possessed for the purpose of trafficking.

The total street value of the seized Fentanyl is approximately six thousand dollars. The man was also arrested on an outstanding warrant for assault and failure to comply with his probation order based on an unrelated investigation.

The man made a court appearance on the morning of September 29, 2020 where he was remanded into custody.
