Ontario Provincial Police LogoOn Sunday, October 11, 2020 at 11:44 a.m., Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision, involving 2 motor vehicles on Kemble Rock Road, near the intersection of Concession 21, in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.

A driver in a white sport utility vehicle (SUV) struck another motor vehicle that was waiting to turn in this intersection, and then they left the roadway and crashed into a hydro pole in the ditch. Neither driver was injured.

Officers attended and the driver of the SUV was arrested for impaired driving by drug and transported to the Saugeen Shores Police Service, where a Drug Recognition Expert completed an evaluation.

As a result of this investigation, Grey Bruce OPP have charged a 42 year-old from Brampton with the following offences:

Operation of a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs
Operation of a motor vehicle while impaired
Careless driving

The accused was released on an Undertaking and is required to appear in Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on November 19, 2020.
